Underwater World
Encounter the beautiful bottlenose dolphins cared for by Underwater World. Watch them being fed and observe their natural behaviour. Travel the submerged tunnel on a moving walkway and come face to face with over 2,000 marine animals. See divers hand-feed sharks and giant rays. In the touch pool, feel a starfish or even a shark, or zoom in on the sea's tiny creatures at the Microworld display.

Perth Mint
Step through the door to the Perth Mint's Old Melting House and step back into the past century when Western Australia was in the grip of gold fever, and the refining and minting processes were a symphony of steam-driven engines, whining leather belts and the striking of metal on metal. See daily demonstrations of pure gold bars being poured and moulded. From the spectacular viewing gallery, you can also see where the Perth Mint's bullion and proof issue coins are produced today.

Perth Zoo Located just five minutes from Perth city, Perth Zoo is home to over 1300 amazing animals representing 200 species. Perth Tram
A fun way to discover Perth and its history. This wooden replica tram was built locally to resemble the first trams operating in Perth in 1899. Visit Kings Park, the Casino, Old Perth Port at the Barrack Street Jetty and the city shopping areas. Interesting commentary by knowledgeable drivers. Full tour l.5 hours, or break your journey at any point and rejoin later.

The Old Mill
One of the earliest buildings in the Swan River Colony, the foundation stone was laid by the first Governor, James Stirling, in 1835 for the designer- owner William Shenton. The mill, adjacent miller's cottage and grounds are furnished with relics of the pioneer days. Open: I0am-4pm daily

The Old Observatory
Constructed in 1897 on Mount Eliza, the Old Observatory is a supremely elegant building which at one time served as the astronomer's residence. The Observatory was dismantled in the 1960s and the telescope was moved to the new Observatory at Bickley. The building is now the headquarters of the Western Australian branch of the National Trust.

Barracks Archway
The Barracks Archway was once part of a large military barracks, designed by Richard Jewell and built by convict labour between 1863 and 1867 to house the Enrolled Pensioner Guards and their families. It is now a memorial to the State's early colonists.

Government House
Completed as the second Government House in 1864. Described as "Jacobean Mansion Revival style", Government House includes an elegant ballroom added in the 1890s and is set in romantic English-style gardens adjacent to Stirling Gardens and Supreme Court Gardens. Government House and its private gardens are open to the public from time to time.

Former Government Printer's Office
Originally the site of a home for destitute women, it was converted to the first State Government Printer's Office in 1879.

Kirkman House & Moreton Bay Fig Tree
Located on the west side of Royal Perth Hospital, Kirkman House is a gracious edifice built in 1909 as nurses' quarters. An immense Moreton Bay fig tree planted in the 1890s at the front of the building has been classified by the National Trust and is on the Register of the National Estate.
