MT
BULLER
Some
26
lifts
operate
on
Mount
Buller
in
the
winter
which
will
get
you
onto
over
75
kilometres
of
runs
of
various
grades.
You
can
even
ski
at
night
on
the
Bourke
Street
run
and
there
are
cross
country
routes
as
well
for
those
who
enjoy
nordic
skiing.
Mount
Buller
can
be
enjoyed
at
any
season,
in
winter
when
the
snow
covers
the
mountain
and
decks
the
trees
in
white
lace
or
in
the
spring
and
summer
when
the
mountain
is
covered
in
delicately
coloured
wildflowers
and
grasses
and
you
can
look
out
over
the
expanse
of
the
ranges
beyond.
Whenever
you
go,
for
whatever
the
reason,
Mount
Buller
has
everything
to
offer.
FALLS
CREEK
Falls
Creek
is
easily
accessible
and
one
of
the
largest
of
Victoria's
ski
resorts.
In
winter
you
simply
put
on
the
snowboard
or
skis
and
slide
to
and
from
your
front
door.
A
picturesque
European
style
village
at
the
head
of
the
East
Kiewa
River,
Falls
Creek
boasts
some
4000
beds,
ranging
from
luxury
to
economy
style
accommodation.
Many
lodges
have
saunas,
spas
and
swimming
pools,
some
even
have
resident
masseurs
to
soothe
aching
muscles
after
a
hard
day
on
the
slopes.
And
for
those
who
still
have
not
had
enough,
Falls
Creek
has
introduced
night
skiing
on
the
Baby
Pomas
as
well
as
new
trails
in
the
Sun
Valley
area
and
a
new
street
course
for
snowboarders
near
Scotts
chairlift.
The
resort
also
enjoys
a
reputation
for
fine
eating,
with
a
wide
variety
of
restaurants
and
bistros
from
which
to
choose.
In
fact,
the
whole
village
is
designed
to
serve
the
visitor,
no
matter
the
season.
The
snow
season
officially
opens
on
the
Queen's
birthday
weekend
in
June
and
there
can
often
be
plenty
of
snow
right
through
until
October.
With
the
biggest
snowmaking
system
in
Victoria,
Falls
Creek
has
a
reputation
for
reliable
snow.
Whether
you
are
a
beginner
or
an
experienced
skier,
Falls
Creek
can
cater
for
you.
It
is
also
one
of
the
best
areas
in
the
Victorian
Alps
for
cross
country
skiing
with
trails
ranging
from
one
to
20
kilometres
through
the
beautiful
Alpine
National
park.
And
when
the
snows
melt
the
true
glory
of
the
high
country
is
revealed.
The
whole
region
is
a
flora
and
fauna
sanctuary,
home
to
grey
kangaroos,
wallabies,
echidnas
and
wombats
as
well
as
the
shy
platypus
and
some
130
different
species
of
birds.
The
plains
and
valleys
become
a
blanket
of
delicate
wildflowers
and
fish
literally
jump
in
the
streams
and
reservoirs,
Take
advantage
of
the
summer
months
in
Falls
Creek
and
enjoy
everything
from
bushwalking
to
horseriding,
tennis
and
scenic
drives.
The
Bogong
High
Plains
Road
will
also
take
you
to
the
Rocky
Valley
Reservoir,
the
largest
and
highest
manmade
lake
in
Australia
which
provides
good
fishing,
and
boating
as
well
as
a
variety
of
other
water
sports.
Another
great
drive
is
to
Mt
McKay,
which
is
the
highest
spot
in
Australia
accessible
by
road.
At
1849
metres
above
sea
level,
it
offers
some
of
the
best
views
in
the
High
Country.
MT
HOTHAM
Welcome
to
Mt
Hotham,
the
highest
alpine
resort
in
Victoria!
No
matter
what
your
skills
Hotham
will
give
you
slopes
to
enjoy
and,
what's
more,
the
snow
is
reliable,
long
lasting
and
powder.
And
if
you
have
never
skied
before
and
just
want
to
give
it
a
go,
the
ski
school
will
cater
for
you.
The
lifts
run
from
the
main
street.
What
more
could
you
ask!
If
you
don't
want
to
ski,
then
Mt
Hotham
will
provide
wonderful
scenery
for
you
to
relax
and
enjoy
what
you
like
doing
best.
The
resort
is
flanked
by
the
Alpine
National
Park
and
from
the
summit
there
are
spectacular
views
of
the
mountains
and
the
Dargo
High
Plains.
Access
is
easy.
The
Alpine
Road
is
fully
sealed
to
the
village
and
if
you
don't
want
to
drive
yourself
there
are
buses
which
will
get
you
to
your
doorstep.
There
are
cross-country
trails
on
Wire
Plain
and
Whiskey
Flat,
Longer
trails
go
towards
Mount
Loch
and
beyond
to
Falls
Creek,
while
an
11
kilometre
track
links
Mt
Hotham
with
the
Dinner
Plains
resort
below.
The
resort
has
everything
the
ski
enthusiast
requires
by
way
of
accommodation,
great
eateries
and
entertainment
and,
as
with
other
alpine
resorts,
is
as
much
fun
in
the
warmer
months
as
it
is
in
winter.
