Glasshouse Mountains - qld ausrtralia

GLASSHOUSE MOUNTAINS - QUEENSLAND

Glasshouse Mountains. Sunshine Coast. Queensland
Glasshouse Mountains (Beerwah) is situated in the hinterland, of Queenslands beautiful Sunshine Coast region. Just 1 hours drive north of Brisbane.

Stunning, magnificent, awesome and amazing are just some of the words you would use to describe these beautiful volcanic cones, that rise stoically upwards towards the heavens in this sacred region of the Sunshine Coast. The 20 million year old crags, giant cores of extinct volcanoes, are the southern entrance of the Sunshine Coast. The Glasshouse Mountains are a fabulous natural attraction worth a visit, especially early morning as the sun rises over their truely inspiring rocky faces, or late afternoon as the sun is setting.

Some great photography is captured here, and you can enjoy the facilities of the Glasshouse Mountains National Park for a Bar-b-que and picnic areas, with some spectacular lookouts, and bushwalking. You will also find in the region, a variety of activities from rock climbing, roadside cafes & stalls, art galleries and the famous "Australia Zoo".

There is also a good range of local restaurants serving the fruits of the area and quaint pubs and tea houses to quench your travel thirsts. The Glasshouse Mountains is an easy drive from either Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast along the Bruce Hwy
