Lakes

consist
of Myall,
Wallis
and Smiths
Lakes
with a
total
area four
and a
half times
the size
of Sydney
Harbour,
totalling
more than
1300 square
kilometres
of cruising
waters.
One third
of the
Great
Lakes
has been
set aside
in National
Parks
or State
Forests,
and the
region
has 27
beaches
along
its 145km
of Pacific
coastline.
