On the North Coast, Coffs Harbour has white beaches, the Dorrigo World Heritage Rainforest that is easy to explore, good restaurants, exciting nightlife and luxury resorts, many with secluded beaches and rainforests. You can take joy flights and helicopter rides, play golf, sail, fish, go snorkelling or scuba diving, whitewater rafting on Nymboida River, horseriding and surfing or windsurfing.

Further north is Yamba. an anglers dream, the famous "barrels" of Angourie which bring surfers the world over, like a magnet and the most eastern point of Australia, Byron Bay.The coast is a stunning stretch of white beaches backed by the lush rainforests of Mount Warning and Nightcap National Parks.

The New South Wales/Queensland border town of Tweed Heads and its coastal and rural villages form a montage of pristine beaches for surfing and fishing, World Heritage national parks, river cruises, resort shopping and highlights such as the Minjungbal Aboriginal Culture Centre.

The New England region is a major rural area of Australia, growing wheat and sheep, and is also home to Australia's Country Music capital Tamworth
