Illawarra National Parks

Royal National Park
This was Australia's first National Park dedicated in 1879 and is the second oldest in the world. The park varies from surfing beaches along the eastern boundary to heath covered sandstone plateaus whilst sub-tropical vegetation borders the Hacking River.

There is a camping area at Bonnie Vale and bush camping is permitted with a permit. The park is located 32km south of Sydney via the Princess Hwy.

Bunderoo National Park
Located 5km west of Jamberoo this rainforest park is famous for ferns, huge trees and waterfalls.
